The Downtown Expressway opened to traffic from Interstate 195 to 7th Street on February 3, 1976. SR 195 is a toll expressway that connects the Westend of Richmond with Downtown Richmond, Virginia. Averages of approximately 54,000 vehicles use the Downtown Expressway daily. The Downtown Expressway is maintained by the Richmond Metropolitan Authority.
Every city changes with the addition older building replaced with new buildings. Dominion Energy built a new building at 600 Canal Place . Their new building has a blue glass facade that changed the Richmond, Virginia skyline. Here is an updated version of the RVA skyline captured from the 4th Street overpass on a warm summer evening.
