On an early spring evening the Maymont Dooley Masion is surrounded by green grass and traces of pink and green blooms in the trees. The mansion is a blend of Romanesque Revival and Queen Ann architectural style . This mansion is a true example of bygone days, located in Maymont Park, in Richmond , Virginia.
The Maymont Dooley Mansion was built in 1893, on a 100-acre Victorian estate. James and Sallie Dooley lived in this 12,000 foot historic estate home for 32 years. After Mrs. Dooley's death the home opened to the public as a museum.
