Buckroe Beach is a neighborhood beach, located in Hampton, Virginia. It is located north of Fort Monroe on the Chesapeake Bay. The beach is ¾-mile, and it offers a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean as you look across the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. The Buckroe Fishing Pier is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the fishing season.

We drove to the one and one-half hour to Buckroe Beach on the November morning to see the sunrise over Chesapeake Bay. The beach was empty on this early morning and the sunrise was colorful.
