Colonial Beach is located along the lower Potomac River in Westmoreland County, on the Northern Neck of Virginia. Colonial Beach is the second largest waterfront public beach in Virginia, located in the quiet town of Colonial Beach, and the population swells in the summer to enjoy the sand and beachfront.
On a late summer August afternoon, I detoured from Interstate I-95 to visit the beach front in Colonia Beach. The water was calm under blue skies and white clouds; and there were a few people out enjoying the sun and the water.
I’ve added a Topaz Studio filter to create a soft artsy look to the image
