Description
The Oculus serves as a transportation hub for subway lines, including the World Trade PATH Station, and the World Trade Center. It also houses several retail shops and restaurants. The interior is a large open airy space, and the walls are made of white steel ribs. These steel ribs are curve upwards to a large skylight. The floor is made of white marble that reflects light from the above skylight.
After 12 years of construction the Oculus opened in March of 2016; and is located in lower Manhattan, New York City.
While visiting New York City in 2018, I was determined to see the interior and the exterior of this amazing architecture, which was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.

Love the composition of this stunning image!
Ava Reaves replied:
Thank You Andrew Wilson. If you love architecture and have the opportunity to visit NYC, you should visit the Oculus. I stood there for minutes looking at the exterior in amazement. One needs to go early to avoid the crowds. Perhaps one day I will have a second opportunity to go back with a wide angle lens.
